6th Monthly competition results.

We had another great competition last night, and the judge, Dave Bibby provided a great set of comments which were well thought out and well reasoned.

Hand in for second monthly competitions, Thursday 18th October.

This coming Thursday (18th October) is the hand in date for our next monthly competition. As always there are 6 categories, Fox Talbot (traditional black and white prints), Open Colour Print, Open Mono Print, Beginners Projected, Open Projected and the Monthly Theme projected.
 
The theme for this month’s entries is “Something New”.
 
Please bring your prints along on Thursday evening, with your member number, image title, month of competition (e.g. month 2) and category on the top left of the back of the print.

Preston Guild Photography Competition.

Due to our close working relationship with the City Council and to help get the message out they have asked that we provide a link to the following competition.

The task is to take an image which strongly features the letter G. They have a great prize up for grabs(an Apple iPad 3rd generation – the latest one).

John Crashley needs entries NO LATER than Thursday 19th April .
 
There are 6 Sections:
1. Monochrome Prints
2. General Colour Prints
3. Nature Prints
4. Monochrome PDI
5. General Colour PDI
6. Nature PDI
 
Print mount size 50cm x 40cm only (16″x20″ WILL be disqualified). Maximum thickness 4mm
No tape of any description on the back of the mounts.
Backing boards should be of a similar size to the front mount.
Each print must display on the back the Authors Name and the Title.
 
Projected Digital Images (PDI) maximum size is 1400p x 1050p saved as .jpeg in sRGB colour space. Maximum height of vertical is 1050p
The image file name must be in the form: TITLE_AUTHORS NAME
A maximum of two prints / images may be entered in each section. An Image can only be used once.
