Lizard Point Bay - Cornwall.
« on: August 29, 2010, 06:30:29 PM »
Hi all

Here's a shot taken at Lizard Point in Cornwall whilst on my holiday earlier this month. It was a nice evening although the sunset never materialized. I've gone for a black and white conversion on this as I think it fits the mood of the image and subject matter well.

As always C+C appreciated.

Nice capture Andrew, the black and white  treatment is definitely the way to go, sepia might have worked  as well.    I would possibly darken the sky a bit though and may be think at  correcting the verticals on the building

I agree with Ian but I would also darken the rocks on the right hand side as they're quite bright.  Composition superb though Andrew and the mono treatment certainly suits the image well.  Wouldn't mind seeing the colour version though too.

Thanks for the comments. I think the image is a touch lighter on the web than on my screen as the rocks aren't blown out. Good point on the verticals though.
