Nikon have today announced the release of their new D4 flagship camera. The camera is an evolutionary upgrade of their popular and well received D3 and D3s line.
Similar to Canon’s newly announced 1Dx the Nikon D4 appears to have prioritised high ISO shooting rather than outright megapixels.
Here’s a brief overview of the features:
- 16.2mp FX sensor
- Increased ISO range from 50 to 204800
- 91k RGB sensor for metering and improved AF
- Full HD movie recording for up to 29 minutes per clip
- Support for the new “next gen” XQD memory cards
