The Preston City Mela is a vibrant celebration of South Asian arts, culture, tradition, and heritage.
This year's event was jam-packed with all kinds of activities, workshops, and performances and this year the Mela combined 3 celebrations:
Jay Acharya was the compere for the day, filling the audience with his passion and love for Bollywood Tadka. There was also a Taichi Fan workshop and a Chinese exercise performance imitating the key features of Tiger, Deer, Bear, Monkey, and Bird.
Other performances included a range of dance and musical acts, featuring Bhangra dancers, steel drummers, Bollywood dancers, and puppetry.
Thank you to Karen Browne, Michael Porter, and Charlotte Whittle for attending the events and sharing there images.
