The ninth Windrush Festival took place on Sunday 19 June at Vernon Carus to celebrate 74 years since 492 West Indians travelled to England and arrived at Tilbury Essex on June 22 1948.
The entertainment on offer included Stephen Bayliss, Geno and Hayley Eccles, Andrew QuickDraw, Rick Star, Tony King, Zamaica and Councillor Martyn Rawlinson.
The festival has taken place for almost a decade and Preston was the first in the country to hold a festival in the name of Windrush by Windrush Initiatives CIC.
