Summary

10 camera clubs from the ICPA entered. As we are the ICPA Host club this year, the competition was held at PPS (and on Zoom) on Thursday 23 February.

The judge was Nick Hilton.

The Final Result

Winners Chorley won with 63 points, we came second place (PPS) with 46 points and third place with 45 points was Leyland.

Competition

Knockout over 8 rounds

• Clubs submit 11 images with the last one being a tiebreaker, only to be used if there is a tie for 1st place.
• Round 1 is a run through of the images with no images being knocked out.
• Images eliminated in Round 2 score 2, Round 3 score 3 and so on. A winner was selected from Round 8, which was the last 4 images, and scored 9 points.

Images from 10 different members were submitted, including:

• Paul Yates, Robert Turley, Iain Jack, Ian McGill, Lee Inskip-Clark, Mick Porter, Angela Kershaw, Dave Bennion, Lesley Wilkinson and Tim Gilbert.

Results 

• Round 2 - 11 images eliminated, 0 of ours. Each eliminated image scored 2.
  
• Round 3 - 31 images eliminated, 1 of ours. Each eliminated image scored 3.
  
• Round 4 - 28 images eliminated 5 of ours. Each eliminated image scored 4.
  
• Round 5 - 17 images eliminated, 2 of ours. Each eliminated image scored 5
  
• Round 6 - 3 images eliminated. 1 of ours. Each eliminated image scored 6.
  
• Round 7 - 6 images eliminated. 1 of ours. Each eliminated image scored 7.
  
• Round 8 - overall winning image (scoring 9) was selected from the 4 remaining.

Consequently we scored 46

Our top scoring images were

• ‘Shh Quiet’ by Lee Inskip-Clark which made Round 5
  
• ‘Erica’ by Lesley Wilkinson which made Round 5
  
• ‘Trapped’ by Robert Turley which made Round 6
  
• ‘Big Six’ by Tim Gilbert which made Round 7
