The North Cheshire Challenge (NCC) is an annual club photography competition organised by North Cheshire Camera Club.
The competition normally consists of a print and a projected digital image (PDI) competition and each club can enter 5 images in each.
The format of the competition is a knockout with images eliminated in Round 1 scoring 1, Round 2 scoring 2 etc.

The winning club is the one with the highest number of points.

2022 - Summary
The competition was held on Friday 3 June 2022 via Zoom and was judged by Terry Donnelly.
21 clubs from across the North west took part, with 3 entering for the first time.
PPS entered for the first time and finished 6th out of 21 clubs.

Competition
Our 5 image entry included work from 5 different members.
Round 1
40 out of the 105 images were eliminated including 1 of ours ‘ Gannets fighting over a fish’.
Round 2
30 out of 65 images were eliminated including 2 of ours ‘First and Second’ and ‘Creating Dust’.
Round 3
21 out of 35 images were eliminated including 1 of ours ‘The Pious Man’.
Round 4
8 out of 14 images were eliminated including our last image ‘Squabbling Chaffinches’.
Round 5
A winner was chosen from the remaining 6 images.
