L&CPU Digital Knockout 2019
Summary
30 camera clubs from the Lancashire and Cheshire region entered. The competition was held in Eccles on 16th November.
We finished 12th with 13 points, the winners being Warrington with 20 points.

Consequently we scored 13 ie (1+2+3+3+4).
Our best scoring image, which made it through to R4 was from Harry Mountains "Big Don"
All in all, a good evening with many superb images entered. A slide show of all the images that made it through to R2 is available on the LCPU website (see link below).
Next up are the LCPU Annual PDI and Annual Print club competitions circa February.

Competition
- Knockout over 5 rounds (number of rounds decided on the night) with images eliminated at each stage.
- Clubs submit 8 images but only first 5 (in this case) were used.
- Images eliminated in R1 score 1, R2 score 2 ….. ie maximum score of 5 for any image.
- New work only from current club members, no previous entry to any LCPU competition.
- No more than 2 images from any photographer.
Our images
- Drawn mainly from the first monthly and opening nights competitions.
- Images from 8 different members were used.
Results
- Round 1 - 38 images eliminated, 1 of ours.
- Round 2 - 53 images eliminated, 1 of ours.
- Round 3 - 38 images eliminated, 2 of ours.
- Round 4 - 15 images eliminated, 1 of ours.
- Round 5 - overall winning image was selected from the 6 remaining.
